The combination of these factors added to the high technology level has brought to a development of a solution where all the best of the state of art is integrated in one plant.

The plant, designed for T6 and T7 heat treatment of aluminum car wheels or castings, exploits solutions already tested in other sectors, adding a new dimension to heat treatment in automotive.

The comparison between the new system called "intersected cages" due to the characteristics of the movement, and the traditional solution presents numerous advantages:

Among these advantages, a particular honor is up to the following:

  • Movement high reliability thanks to the low use of mechanics - The characteristics of the movement come from system used in the iron metallurgy, where are preferred for sturdiness and reliability.
  • Reduced energy consumption - The consumption is extremely reduced both thanks to the energy recovery systems and to the architecture of the plant where all the movement members are outside, with thermal shears in order to reduced the heat dispersions and to keep the members itself at low temperature.
  • Load and step modularity following the needs - Both the fixed frames and the moveable one can modify the height of the shelves in order to charge different production. Furthermore the step can be modified depending on the charge, increasing or decreasing the capacity of the furnace and the production consequently.
  • Easiness of inspection and maintenance - All the mechanic members and the hydraulic cylinder are external where can be easily accessed for inspection and maintenance purpose.
  • Treatment of wheels with fins - Thanks to the particular movement, the system can heat treat wheels still un-machined.
